AIKO TANAKA

DS: Were you surprised to get a call with such short notice?
Aiko: Actually I was asleep when you called and it woke me up, but I wasn't surprised. I know that you guys are always working hard up to the last minute on everything.

DS: Did you get along with everyone at the shoot?
Aiko: Yeah, I liked all the girls. I only had a problem with Jeren because he ate the last bag of chips. I was so mad.

DS: So what have you been doing since your first cover shoot with DSport?
Aiko: I was on MTV a few times. I was on "Dismissed" and I just finished shooting for an episode of "Made." I was also on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno twice. On one episode, I was making fun of Paris Hilton. On the other episode, I played a Japanese porn star that gets chased by Godzilla with a huge penis. I did another MTV dating show called "Do you Wanna Come in?." I'm turning into a dating game show whore. On this show, if I let the guy in my room he would get paid $1000. Anyway, that was the concept of the show. It was quite boring, but the guy was nice. I kept on burping. He was very busy asking questions during dinner, so I ate all my filet mignon & his ahi tuna. He didn't have any food and he went home hungry. Maybe that's why I don't have a boyfriend right now. The next date I go on, I will not burp or eat all the food at the table.

DS: Have you done anything besides TV?
Aiko: I also performed some stand-up comedy at a small bar in Venice.

DS: Did you enjoy doing stand-up?
Aiko: I performed my stand-up in a bikini. I totally sucked but everyone liked the way I looked. Actually, the audience laughed at my jokes. I told them that every female comedian is either fat or gay. Since I can't gain weight, I was going to turn into a lesbian.

DS: Anything weird, strange, out of the ordinary happen because of your DSport cover shoot?
Aiko: I was shopping at the supermarket with my Mom, who came out to visit from Japan. Out of nowhere, one of the guys at the market stops us. He says, "Your Aiko Tanaka from DSport. You have a website too." My Mom was so happy because she thought I was a big celebrity or something. As for me, I felt naked. After all, this was when I still had nude pictures on my website.

DS: There are no more nude pictures on your website?
Aiko: I really enjoy shooting swimsuit and lingerie, but I was never really comfortable shooting nudes. I mean you're in a room with a bunch of strangers and you are totally naked. It's weird. I started doing nudes because all of the other import models at the time were doing it. Now, I'm more focused on acting.

DS: What do you have planned for the next few months?
Aiko: I've been taking speech classes. I'm trying to improve my "Ingrish."

DS: Your ultimate goal?
Aiko: I would love to be in a comedy. I think I'm the only one that falls somewhere between William Hung and Carmen Electra.

DS: I can't imagine getting between those two. Where might we see you again?
Aiko: I'm planning to go to Hot Import Nights in Hawaii and I should be at this year's SEMA show. I'll see you there.

FLO JALIN

DS: Were you surprised to get a call with such short notice?
Flo: Yes. I was very surprised and very elated. I love shooting with you guys.

DS: Did you get along with everyone at the shoot?
Flo: Yes. I met both Aiko and Teanna before. They are both really nice.

DS: So what have you been doing since your first cover shoot with DSport?
Flo: I just recently signed with a new modeling agency and I was fortunate enough to get booked on my first edition. I'll be doing a cellular phone commercial that will air in Spain. I also shot for the East West 2006 calendar as well as the Bench Warmers Calendar. I've been fitting the modeling in between the go-go dancing. I currently dance four or five nights a week. It's crazy.

DS: Do you have the sleep schedule of a Vampire?
Flo: On the nights that I dance, I don't usually get to sleep until 3am. Then I get up at 11am or noon. I love it. It's the best schedule in the world.

DS: Anything weird, strange, out of the ordinary happen from the DSport cover shoot?
Flo: Nothing out of the ordinary, except for the fact that I have so many people saying that they saw me in DSport. It's really cool.

DS: That issue of DSport outsold all other import performance magazines in Hawaii that month. How does that make you feel?
Flo: I hope that I had something to do with the great sales in Hawaii. Even though I live in Los Angeles, I still consider Hawaii my home. My Dad and brother still live our there, so I use any excuse at all to go back home.

DS: Were you out there for the Maui car show?
Flo: Yes. I think that I was the only model from the mainland that came out. I was there in the Island Car Audio booth and then they talked me into entering the Bikini contest. I ended up winning, so that made a great weekend even better.

DS: What do you have planned for the next few months?
Flo: I'll be heading out to Hawaii for the Street Car Showoff. In a few weeks, I'll also be working at the Pinnacle Supplements booth in Vegas

DS: Anything else that we should know?
Flo: I finally have a new webmaster and everything that I wanted for the site is happening. We've added a bunch of photos, a members section, video and audio clips and regular updates to all of the content. Make sure you check it out.

TEANNA KAI

DS: Were you surprised to get a call with such short notice?
Teanna Not at all. I was expecting it from you guys. It was just a matter of time. I was waiting by the phone for the last two years.

DS: Did you get along with everyone at the shoot?
Teanna Everyone was pretty cool. I already met Aiko and Flo at some car shows, so it was nice to see them again.

DS: So what have you been doing since your first cover shoot with DSport?
Teanna I've been very busy touring as a featured dancer. I've been in Tampa, Boise, New York, Hawaii, and San Francisco…al over. Just about every weekend, I've been on a plane going somewhere.

DS: Anything weird, strange, out of the ordinary happen from the DSport cover shoot?
Teanna: I met you guys. Wasn't that weird enough? Seriously, it's funny how I bump into people that recognize and remember my interview in DSport. They even remember my birthday.

DS: What's the craziest thing one of your fans has done for your birthday?
Teanna My fans are really cool. Every year, a few fans will send me show gift certificates to go shopping. I love shopping, even if it's just at the 99-cent store or Target.

DS: You are definitely one of the most fit models ever to be in DSport. What's your secret?
Teanna I go to the gym every other day. I start with a 20 minute cardio warm-up. After the warm-up, I lift free weights for about an hour or so. Every day, I also work out my abs. As for diet, I eat a big variety of foods. I love Asian food, but I avoid fast food and fried foods.

DS: Have you ever done fitness modeling?
Teanna No. But this one time I was at the airport and this guy mistook me for Kiana Tom. He yelled over "Kiana" and then he flexed his bicep. I just smiled and played along. It was so funny.

DS: What are you plans for the future?
Teanna I'm trying to get my production company off the ground right now. I have plans for a fitness wear line, a makeup line and a total revamp of my website. This is probably the last year that I'll be on tour as a featured dancer, but you never know because I'm a workaholic.
