DSPORT: Tell us a little bit about yourself.

ALEXIS: I was born in Yokohama, Japan, and I've spent a lot of my life there. Since my father was always working between Japan and the U.S., I've also spent a lot of my life here. In fact, I went to high school and learned how to drive here in America.

DSPORT: So where did you first get into modeling? Was it here or in Japan?

ALEXIS: The first modeling experience I had was actually in Japan for a magazine called "Pop Teen." In Japan, the magazines wanted a "cute" look rather than exploring too much skin. Because my Dad is a car enthusiast, I've always been interested in cars. When I moved here for college, I just came across the scene. I started modeling at car shows in the Bay Area, and now here I am on the cover of DSPORT. Thank you.

DSPORT: Tell us more about your interest in cars.

ALEXIS: My father is really in to cars. When I was young, he used to take me to car shows and I’ve always liked how some of the cars looked. Even though my father works for Toyota, my favorite car is actually the Honda S2000, especially the N1 Concepts S2000 (featured in this issue.) I guess being a “car person” is something that’s just in my blood.

DSPORT: Aside from modeling at car shows, what other things can we find you doing on any given day?

ALEXIS: Currently, I’m studying accounting part-time and working parttime. I also volunteer at a Japanese day care center; it helps that I speak and write Japanese fluently, and the kids are so funny and cute. Recently, I joined an effort to raise funds for the victims of the tragedy in Japan. But, I also like to stay out late, go clubbing and try to have fun because I’m still young!

DSPORT: Aside from Japan and the Pacific coast of the U.S., what other places have you been to?

ALEXIS: Oahu, snorkeling and looking at all the pretty fish – that’s my most favorite place. I would love to go to Kauai because I’ve heard it’s amazingly beautiful there. I really love Japanese fashion and all kinds of music, so I’ll go wherever those things will take me.

DSPORT: A lot of the answers you’ve provided to our questionnaire are about food. Do you have a food fetish, and if so, how do you maintain your figure after all that eating?

ALEXIS: I can’t help it – I love all kinds of food, especially really bad junk food. Krispy Kreme doughnuts, Reese’s peanut-butter cups, cheesecake - I make the best cheesecake in the world, by the way. Since I go clubbing and dancing a lot, that must burn all the calories I eat because I don’t exercise at all.

DSPORT: So, the way to your heart is through your stomach?

ALEXIS: If a guy knows how to cook, then he’s already found my only weakness. Actually, my other weakness is my 3-year-old Yorkie named Yoshi. He’s just like my baby. Sometimes, I wished that he could do things for me, though, like make me breakfast or find my cell phone or the television remote.

DSPORT: We get it – Yoshi is a substitute for a real man until you find one in the near future. What other plans do you have for the future?

ALEXIS: I’m really grateful for DSPORT putting me on the cover – it’s really helping me launch my modeling career over here. Believe it or not, accounting is still fun to me so I’ll keep working toward my accounting degree and hopefully someone will teach me how to DJ this year. Other than that, I’ll just keep doing what I do.

DSPORT: Any parting words?

ALEXIS: Thank you, DSPORT, for putting me on the cover and for being patient with me for the DVD filming, and thanks to Tom Tang at Tuner Playground for recommending me to you. Finally, I want to thank my family, friends and fans. Arigato!
