DSPORT: Welcome back. Give us a little bit of your background for those that may have missed it the first time.
Dawn: I was born in the Philippines and came to the States when I was young. My family settled in Atlanta where I’ve lived pretty much my whole life. My sister Justene lives in Hollywood and I came out here to help her out with some personal stuff. That was about a year ago and I’ve been here ever since.
DSPORT: Is Justene jealous that you were called back for a Second Date?
Dawn: No, not at all. My sister might be my evil twin, but she is my kid sister. So, if she wants a modeling job more than I do, I’ll just let her have it. For me, it’s all about family. That’s what I miss the most about Atlanta – the comfort of being home and being around my family and my dogs. I really miss my dogs.
DSPORT: Earlier you mentioned that you thought rapper Waka Flocka Flame was cute, and Jeren pointed out he looked like a weasel with dreadlocks. Do you love all animals equally?
Dawn: Sometimes I feel like I love animals more than I love people. I’m just kidding, but I do love my pit bulls. Whenever I go back to Atlanta I spend as much time with them as possible. That’s pretty much all that I do there.
DSPORT: Now that you live in Hollywood, what other things do you do besides your modeling gigs? Have you had any interesting modeling jobs since you’ve been here?
Dawn: During the Grammy awards, I spent the day as a painted model at the Playboy Mansion. It’s always been a dream of mine to visit the mansion, so I’m glad I had a chance to do it. Currently, I’m working on getting my online retail business up but other than that I’m basically really lazy.
DSPORT: How is a guy supposed to get your attention or keep you entertained if you don’t like to do anything? Is there a type of food or restaurant that he can at least start with?
Dawn: There’s a restaurant in L.A. called “Fire” that’s really good. I love the kebabs there. I also love Taco Bell though, so it doesn’t really matter where the guy takes me. I actually like any type of food that’s tropical like Puerto Rican, Filipino and Brazilian food. If the guy is funny, that works for me but I tend to be attracted to guys that train and work out like mixed martial artists or boxers, or Brad Pitt in Fight Club.
DSPORT: Since you got your start in the import modeling scene, is there a particular car that you would like to own?
Dawn: The Porsche Panamera is the only car I’d like to own right now, but I don’t think that really fits in the import scene. I’m not even sure if that counts as a car or if it’s more of a sports crossover or sports minivan. Either way, the Panamera is what I’m obsessed with now, especially since I don’t have a car. I’m tired of driving my rental car.
DSPORT: Aside from the German minivan fetish, are there any other obsessions or things that you’re passionate about?
Dawn: My greatest passions are for love, life and family. Everything else is just not as important.
DSPORT: So, what does the five-year plan look like for Dawn Jaro?
Dawn: I hate it when people ask that question because I don’t know the answer. I know I’ll eventually figure it out so I don’t like to plan that far ahead. For now, I’m concentrating on modeling and working with my sister to finally launch our online retail store.
DSPORT: Any parting words?
Dawn: Thank you to DSPORT for putting me on the cover again and putting me in the DSPORT DVD. I had so much fun doing this. Thanks to all my fans for the support and make sure to follow me on Twitter. I love you guys!
