DS: So how did you get into the import scene?
NC: A few years back, I went to a local car show and I was approached to model in a booth at an upcoming show. It all kind of just took off from there.
DS: The life of a model…Is it "E Hollywood True Story" material or what?
NC: (laughing) I do some modeling, which I really enjoy, but school is my priority. With modeling, I enjoy the traveling and opportunity to meet new people around the country.
DS: Is there a downside?
NC: There are a few shady people in the industry. You have to watch out for yourself. For the most part though, it is fun as long as you don't mind spending a good deal of time at the airport.
DS: Where are you from originally?
NC: I was born in Manila and our family moved to California when I was seven.
DS: So how many years were you in ESL (English as a Second Language)?
NC: (laughing) That's messed up. I went to private school in Manila and everything was taught in English.
DS: When you started College, your original major was Bio/Pre-dental. What made you change your major? Did you see some crazy "yuck mouth"?
NC: (laughing) No. Actually one class, O-chem., made me rethink my plans. I did pretty well in Physics, bio and the standard Chemistry classes, but Organic Chemistry was not my thing.
DS: Now your major is Communications. What's your career plan?
NC: My fantasy would be to one day own a Major League Baseball team. My dream job would be to handle public relations for the Atlanta Braves.
DS: How did you become a baseball fan?
NC: In high school, I had a boyfriend that played Varsity and he would drag me out to the games. I went from being disinterested to becoming a fanatic. Today, I try to never miss a Braves game.
DS: Why the Braves? You're from Nor-Cal, why not Oakland of San Francisco?
NC: I like Oakland more than San Fran, but I think I became a Braves fan because so many of their games are televised.
DS: What do people need to know about you?
NC: On the bad side I'm really impatience and I'm pretty stubborn. On the good side, I'm my own worst critic and I have fun laughing at myself.
DS: What's the story on your rather unique tattoo?
NC: I had always wanted to get a garter tattoo and I told my boyfriend about it four years ago. On that Valentine's Day, he gave me 11 roses and he took me to get the 12th rose tattooed on my leg.
DS: How romantic. Speaking of romance, tell us about the Sunny Leone incident?
NC: (laughing) There was no incident. I met Sunny at the Import Showoff in Canada and we had fun going out. She's really cool.
DS: We've heard reports that she's stalking you and trying to seduce you.
NC: (laughing) Shut up. She's cool. She said she was going to buy the magazine as soon as it's out.
DS: What's interesting about you?
NC: Nothing much. I just go to school and lead a pretty boring lifestyle. Traveling is the most interesting part. With quarter system at school, it feels like I have exams every other week.
DS: Is it going to be weird going to Supermarkets, bookstores and liquor stores and seeing yourself on the cover of DRAG Sport?
NC: Definitely. It has been cool having my photos in magazines, but to be on the cover is pretty crazy.
