Browsing: The Models

Import model superstar Dannie Riel first graced the cover of DSPORT Magazine #51 when she was a fledgling maple leaf just out of Manitoba, Canada. Since then, she’s continued modeling and branched out into other areas of entertainment including singing and acting. Of course, she still models regularly and can be found all over the internet thanks to her various online social networks and public appearances. In fact, she was voted as one of the Top 10 Models in our 100th Issue last year. We caught up with the Winnipeg wonder to get the “Riel” scoop on Dannie. It’s been…

She’s one of the most well-known faces in the import model industry. Her blood-pressure-raising photos in magazines and the internet recently got her placed on G4TV’s list of the top-three hottest women from Montreal. And now in response to many readers’ requests, Misa Campo is the first girl to ever have graced the cover of DSPORT three times. Welcome back Misa. What’s been going on since we last…

Requests to put a particular model on the cover of DSPORT are a common occurrence. Week after week, we get requests from fans to see their favorite model on the cover of DSPORT. For some fans, just one cover shoot of their favorite cover model with DSport isn’t enough. During 2007, one of our most popular cover models turned out to be Misa Campo. When the opportunity came to shoot with Misa again before the SEMA show, we decided to jump on the chance. As you may recall, Misa was born in Canada. However, she also spends a great deal…

Our first interview with the ever-ubiquitous Misa Campo, before we even called them “First Dates.” Where were you born? I was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. When I was two, I moved to Newport Beach, California to be closer to my relatives and live with my father. I lived there until the age of 10. Since then, I have moved back and forth between Montreal and California with my mom and two sisters. Right now I’m currently residing in Montreal. Of course, I miss the weather in Southern California since it gets cold in Montreal. I need someone to warm…

A little over a year ago, we featured Natasha Yi on our January 2005 issue (Issue #25). Issue 25 marked the first-ever release of the DSPORT calendar. The beauty of Natasha and the DSPORT calendar combined to vault issue #25 sales above any of the previous 24 issues of DSPORT. For the January 2006 issue, Natasha once again played a role. Natasha prompted us to feature her friend Jasmin Alejandrino on the cover. After the shoot and the resulting layout in the magazine, we couldn’t have been happier with the results. Jasmin never looked better and once again we had…

We’ve been planning to use Natasha Yi as our cover model for quite some time. The only question we had…when would be the best time? After careful consideration, we decided that having Natasha on our January 2005 cover would be the best way to kick off the 2005 season. Natasha showed up to the shoot ahead of schedule and ready to shoot. In modeling shoots, that tends to be the exception rather than the norm. However, the extra time gave us a chance to take some extra snaps and catch up on what’s going on with Natasha. Rather than an…
