Richard Move Aside, Front-Wheel Drive The car I wish had made it to U.S. shores would have to be Mitsubishi’s EVO IV. My first encounter with the EVO IV was during the mid-1990’s, when front-wheel drive Acuras and Hondas rose to dominance across America thanks to their high specific output engines equipped with Honda’s variable valve timing and lift system (VTEC.) In my earlier years of racing, I couldn’t believe it whenever I spoke to a racecar owner or team manager who said that they actually preferred to not be the one behind the wheel. How could anyone not be interested in pushing a car to its limits and competing for the podium? As it turns out, the players behind the scenes of any race team are dealt equally difficult challenges, and they play every bit as important of a role as the driver to get a car to cross the finish line first. In order to give the public a…

Finally, the tenth-generation Honda Civic is getting the hatchback treatment in North America. The new model Civic has received praise as well as jabs regarding its looks and overall design, it seems to simply depend on who you ask.
