SUPRA JZA80 QUAD PUMP

Both the Powerhouse Racing Nissan Top Hat and the 044 Magnum Twin solution for the Supra performed extremely well. We expected the Quad Pump for the Supra to be the overall flow king. In fact, it was and it was not. For boosted-applications up to about 25psi of boost pressure (operating pressure of 70psi), the four unmodified Walbro GSS342 pumps outperformed the 044 Magnum Twin pumps. Once the operating pressures went to 75 psi and beyond (above 30psi of boost pressure), those twin Bosch 044s reigned supreme again. The unmodified Walbro GSS342s lost about 80-90lph of flow with each 10psi in operating pressure. The Quad Pump system was also an amperage hog. Pulling close to 60 amps requires a serious electrical solution. As with all of the pump systems in this showcase, be sure to use the included flow chart to choose accordingly.
