Adaptronic released its new plug and play Modular Engine Management System for the R32, R33 and R34 Skyline GT-R. The Modular ECU platform allows the user to internally upgrade the hardware by utilizing an expansion slot that enables different functions based on which module is chosen: drive by wire, traction control, lambda controller, EGT or additional outputs. Users can also take advantage of the built-in scope, engine simulator, 32MB of internal logging (30 hours’ worth) and secondary 16MB fault logging. Features also include dual 32-bit 120 MHz processors (3rd with an additional module), accelerometer and rate G sensor, dual 4 bar (40PSI) on-board map sensors (IMAP or EMAP), internal headphone jack for listening to knock, and Wi-Fi. The Modular line allows for dedicated inputs for: flex fuel, fuel pressure, oil pressure, oil temperature, fuel temperature and other sensors. The Arbitrary Logic function allows end users to redefine the internal code of the ECU, allowing it to be customized and configured endlessly.
