WHILE ADDING FORCED INDUCTION TO THE FR-S MAY GIVE IT MORE GO, IT CAN ALSO wreak havoc on the factory clutch. The increased torque output may cause the clutch to wear prematurely or slip under high load. Fortunately, Centerforce developed its dual friction kit for the FR-S/BRZ to withstand increased heat and abuse. According to Centerforce, the dual friction clutch kit is rated up to 300 lb- . of torque and has a 32 percent greater clamping force than the factory unit. The sprung-hub clutch disc utilizes di erent friction materials on each side. On the pressure-plate side, the disc uses a full-faced surface for longevity. On the clutch disc’s flywheel side, a more aggressive carbon-composite friction material maximizes holding capacity. Includes an SFI-approved billet flywheel and all bearings, tools and bolts for installation.
