WRX/STI DOUBLE-PUMPER
Few may remember the short period of time where Buschur Racing was developing hard-core solutions for the Subaru market. Unfortunately much of this development was done at a time when Subie enthusiasts were more interested in the sound from their blow-off valves than real performance. Today, things have definitely changed and high-performance, bighorsepower STIs are a reality. Buschur Racing’s “Double Pumper” for the Subaru 2002-2013 again delivers the goods at a very affordable price. Much like the EVO X design, the modified Walbro GSS340 pumps feed into a Y fitting below the hat. This allows use of the factory fitting up top. The factory feed line or a -6AN line can be used. On the flow bench, this system also performed very well. To our surprise, the single outlet performed better than the individual lines run into a tee on the flow bench. Again, the modified pumps showed some of the least flow loss as operating pressures increased. Feeding fuel to a 750+whp EJ25 running 35psi of boost pressure should be no problem for this setup. A core exchange is required.
