WHEN CORNERING AT HIGH SPEEDS AND ELEVATED G-FORCE LOADS, OIL HAS A tendency to collect to one side of the pan. This can result in low oil pressure, inadequate oil lubrication and subsequently spun bearings or total engine failure. To prevent this from happening, Canton Racing Products developed its original Accusump Oil Accumulator system. This oil reservoir system uses the engine’s oil pump to pressure the oil system and discharges its oil when the oil pressure drops too low. As an evolution of this system, Canton Racing Products developed its Accusump Pro Electric Valve Kit (p/n 24-270X). The Pro version uses a machined billet aluminum body, and integrated pressure switch port in a lighter and more compact design. Unlike previous Accusumps that utilized a rubber diaphragm, the Pro uses a piston design that both decreases its installed length and improves overall refill timing.
