INFO

Stepping up to a Kelford 264 camshaft set showcases the performance left on the table by the factory bumpsticks. While idle quality will barely be affected, these camshafts allow for an extended powerband that produces usuable power to 8,500 RPM. In addition, peak power will increase nearly 20 percent. On our test engine, we picked up nearly 85 more horsepower at the wheels from the upgrade to the Kelford 264s. Of course, valvespring upgrades are a must when planning to exceed the factory redline. These camshafts are best suited to a factory intake manifold. The addition of a large-runner manifold, like the AMS, will not allow for optimized performance in the 3,000-to-4,500 RPM range.
