It does not rely on manipulation of airflow around the AFM or augmentation of the signals to the ecu. Horsepower gains on the stock ecu tune are minimal, while torque production is improved in the middle of the power band and again at the top. ECU tuning on the dyno produced better results across the board. Torque production improved dramatically from 3,700 RPM to the 7,200 RPM redline. This is one intake system that definitely needs a reflash for peak performance.
