Overview: After tuning, the K&N intake system produced the most peak power of the group tested. It also did very well at the top of the powerband. ECU tuning really brought the potential of this intake to light. Horsepower production was improved dramatically from 3,700 to 7,200 RPM. The torque gains were most impressive from 3,700 to 4,750 RPM.
Peak Results- HP: 4.69 @ 6900 RPM TQ: 5.17 @ 4750 RPM
Max Gains- HP: 13.62 @ 4300 RPM TQ: 16.64 @ 4300 RPM
Tech Notes: K&N’s 69 Series Typhoon Intake performance is most significant at the upper end of the RPM range. When coupled with the EcuTek tuning, it’s true potential is realized beginning at the high 3,000 RPM range and runs all the way to 7,200RPM.
